My ulcer recovered with the reduced stress and once again things were good. That is, until late 2000 when my new savior of a company decided to close up shop. Sick of the crowds and the crap that go along with living in the technology capital of the world, I decided to leave the area. For various reasons not germane to this forum, I chose North County San Diego. Oceanside to be precise. Close enough to San Diego to find work but far enough away to lose the crowds... or so the theories went. While I found plenty of job ads for the area, actually securing a position was tough. More acurately, it turns out, impossible for me. I received an offer from a company in LA.
